Privacy

What we collect

• Your account: username, email address and password (stored scrambled, so nobody can read it, us included). If you sign up with Discord, there is no email or password until you choose to add them.
• If you use Discord to sign in: your Discord user id, username and profile picture. More below.
• What you post: your profile, games, ranks, linked account names, availability, posts, comments, likes, follows, discussions, replies and squads.
• What you upload: your avatar and banner pictures.
• Feedback you send: what you wrote, its type, and which page you were on.
• Safety records: who you've blocked, and reports you've made.

What we never ask for: sensitive personal details such as your real name, military service, or health information. Share them only if you want to, and remember that whatever you post on your profile is public.

Signing in with Discord

If you choose "Continue with Discord" or connect Discord in Settings, Discord tells us your Discord user id, your username and your profile picture. That's all we ask for. Discord does not share your email address, your servers, your friends or your messages with us, and we can't read or post anything on Discord for you.

We keep the id (so we know it's you next time), the username (shown on your profile with a "verified" mark), and the picture's reference. If you tick the box when signing up, we copy your Discord picture into Hudd's own storage as your profile picture; we never load it from Discord when someone views your profile.

Your settings page (and the page after a password reset) shows your connected Discord picture, loaded from Discord, so you can recognise which Discord account is connected. Only you see it there; nobody else's browser loads anything from Discord when they visit your profile.

You can disconnect Discord in Settings once your account has a password. That removes the id, the Discord username and the verified mark; the handle you see on your profile stays as ordinary text until you remove it.

Emails we send

The only email Hudd sends is a password reset link, and only when someone asks for one on the sign-in page. It's sent through our email provider, Resend, which handles the address and the message to deliver it. The email has no tracking pixels and no tracked links.

What's public, and what isn't

Public: your profile (name, picture, bio, games, availability), your posts and everything else you post, and the gaming handles you add (including your Discord username, if you connected Discord). Anyone with the link can see your profile, even without an account.

Vouches: how many vouches you have for each tag is public on your profile. Signed-in players can also see who gave them (the most recent few for each tag), so a vouch you give for someone shows your name on their profile. Blocking someone deletes the vouches between you.

Private: your email address, who you've blocked, what you've reported, and the feedback you send. Moderators can see reports and feedback so they can act on them; the person you report is never told it was you.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, even while suspended. It happens straight away and can't be undone.

If your account has no password (you signed up with Discord), you confirm with Discord instead.

Removed: your account and email, your Discord connection, your profile and pictures, your posts, comments, likes, follows, discussions, replies, squads and requests to join them, the vouches you gave and received, your beacons and your "I'm in" responses, your game list, your blocks, and your feedback.

Kept, on purpose:

• Moderation records. If a moderator acted on something, the record of what happened stays, including what the content said. It's evidence, and it can't be edited.
• Reports you made, with your name taken off, so the record of what was reported survives.
• Reports other players made about you, with the copy of what was reported, so moderators can finish reviewing them. They no longer point to your account.

Where your data lives

Hudd runs on Vercel (the website and the app's server), Neon (the database), and Vercel Blob (your pictures). Password reset emails are sent through Resend.

Ads, tracking and selling data

• There is no advertising on Hudd today.
• If sponsored content ever appears, it will always be clearly labelled as sponsored.
• There are no third-party tracking scripts.
• Hudd does not sell your personal data. Not now, not later.
